Seattle Cybertruck became fleeting tourist destination
Comment
You could argue whether Cybertruck owners crave attention, but attention they receive, often by critics poking fun at the vehicles. People seem to particularly delight at Cybertruck mishaps, as when one arrived on Nantucket back in May and promptly got stuck in the sand.
Perhaps it’s little wonder then that a damaged Cybertruck in Seattle’s Central District became its own tourist destination in recent days after being left on the side of a busy street. While it’s not clear how long it was there, it stayed long enough to become a point of fascination for Redditors, one of whom chronicled a makeshift memorial erected in front of the Cybertruck’s front bumper. According to Jalopnik, someone even created a Google Maps pin entry for the car that was later deleted.
Seemingly, the truck was finally removed sometime on Monday, ending the intrigue. Judging by a photo on Reddit, its makeshift memorial was removed, too, with only two squished barrier posts left in its wake.
